TWOONE

Painter

“As the sun goes down, Hiroyasu Tsuri aka TWOONE, stands in a Richmond carpark covered in paint and grinning like a monkey with a great secret. Behind him are the fruits of his hard labour: three colossal water buffalo and a brilliant yellow tiger – an ode to Melbourne’s own ‘Little Saigon’.

From making stuff as a kid in the sprawling, power lined streets of Yokohama, to spray-painting walls in Melbourne alongside Rone and Wanderlust, to producing 16-story commissions in Hong Kong, the scale of TWOONE’s career is certainly showing no signs of getting any smaller. He called Melbourne home for ten years but now he’s based in Berlin with his wife, Kelly. When asked how he likes it: ‘the weather is definitely better in Melbourne’ he laughs. Still, it’s a bright future ahead.”
